WOODLEA ROAD

Roadway Design & Preliminary Engineering

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is preparing a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for Woodlea Road, from Lane Park Road to S.R. 19 for Lake County. This study is being conducted to identify and evaluate impacts in the corridor that will meet future growth and traffic demands for the area. The results of this analysis will provide the basis for the selection of the recommended improvements for this project.

The proposed Woodlea Road typical section will consist of one 12-foot travel in each direction, with curb and gutter (a closed drainage system) on both sides. The typical section will also include a 5-foot sidewalk on the
south side and a multi-purpose trail on the north side. A multi-purpose trail is on the north side from Lane Park Road to the future Captain Haynes Road.

A Public Workshop was conducted to get input from the Public on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at the Lake County Agriculture Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares, Florida.

The Preliminary Engineering Report is currently under review. The project will move into the Design Phase once this report is approved.
